Four Materials Used in Manufacturing of Engine Parts
The Automobile industry highly depends on the long-lasting engine parts. There many different types of materials used for manufacturing of the engine parts like Steel, Plastic, Aluminum, Rubber etc. All these materials are naturally available or refine in their respective industry to make eligible for use in the automobile industry.
Steel Engine Parts:
The Automobile engine is consisting of many different parts and these parts are made with different materials by the engine parts manufacturer. The steel or the purify iron ore is the highest using metal in the automotive industry for making of engine parts. The roof, body, beams, doors, bonnet, pipes and many other engines and vehicle parts are made with steel.
Plastic Equipment:
Plastic is not becoming the prime choice of the engine parts manufacturer due its lightweight and long lasting ability. Some steel parts of the vehicle now replaced with plastic materials. The vehicle parts like dashboard, airbags, handle, steering and almost 50% of vehicle parts are plastic made.
Aluminum Parts:
Due to the high cost of the Aluminum metal the engine parts manufacturer less preferred this metal for manufacturing of engine parts. But in some sensitive engine parts where no any other metal is suitable in that case the use of aluminum is essential. So, the use of aluminum parts is only 2% of any vehicle.
Rubber Parts:
Rubber is another cost-effective material which widely use in the automotive industry for manufacturing of the vehicle parts. Tires are the common parts of the vehicle made with rubber. Other than tires the rubber made some belts, seals and other un-conductive parts. The use of rubber in the automotive industry is so vast that it uses almost 80% of produced rubber.
In addition to the above material, some other materials like fiber, glass, plywood etc are also used in the automotive industry. The automotive industry is very creative one and the addition of new raw materials introduce in regular interval.
